Well if you have some attractive image ads, which are helpful for the visitors coming to your site, then obviously images ads are better. However most of visitors tend to view the banners and get the knowledge of where the banner ad link will direct them. However if your text ads have some catchy titles, then it will make the visitors to think and click the ad to check out the same
Image Ads look good on my site, text ads look old fashioned. But, Text-Ads boosts up the CTR, So Text Ads are preferable. That's why i have opted for Text & Image Ads .. and Not Text Only! So, the point is, if Text-Ads Suits your website design, then go for it, it gives you more CTR & More Money!
I think, depending on your blog. If your blog visitors is nice kids made pictures but if his blog for adults you should use text. thanks
They both convert, but it seems like text ads tend to be more profitable. Link ads don't seem to be worth much regularly, only occasionally. I try to use a combination of text ads and image ads. Mostly text, but a few image ads especially if the page is lacking images/pictures. People like pictures and they do draw attention even if they are ads. So if the page is primarily text and links a image ad can help draw attention.
in my opinion text ads are relevant to your content so if the traffic is organic then there are greater chances of clicks while image ads might be according to only visitor's country specific or so on and have a lesser chance of being clicked.....
i dude, it was great to see this topic. According to my opinion and experience Image Ads get more cpc Because it will attracted by the visitors more than text ads. And Google delivers excellent relevant ads. So that when reading the particular topic in the website by looking at relevant picture ads, he will go that site . Because it will attracts.
my opinion is Image ads because they have high CPC for e.g in my site there are 7 click made on text ads and 1 click on Image ad though Revenue of Image ad is higher than text ads.. Text ads have high CTR but very low CPC...
I have notice that articles directory sites like ezinearticles always have text only ads. May be it makes more sense to have text ads for content rich sites.
You can earn more from Image ads than text ads. For image ads there will be more competition and good conversion rate. That's why you can earn more income from image ads.
From my personal experience with image ads, they don't describe much then the text ads. image ads can point out some sort of feeling but text ads can clear your mind at a glance. I use the "only text ads" option on about 3/4 of all my ads.
It depends on how well the ad is written. A good text ad will outsell a bad picture ad, but a good picture ad will outsell a bad text ad! And before you say "what if they are the same quality", it is possible to design a better picture ad than text ad, so the best text ad will not be as good as the best picture ad. However if you try deliberately designing a picture ad that is not the best it can be, but is as good as the best text ad, and try the two against each other, my guess is that the text ad will win over the picture ad. When selling stuff or advertising my own site, I get the best results from a text ad with a picture in it. You cannot do this with Google ads (or any other ad seller that I know) but when advertising sponsors on my sites or doing a private deal to advertise my site on someone else's site, I use this a lot and it works.
