Image ads pay more than Text ads?

    Hello guyz,

    I have few movie,video forums..i'm getting less CPC and sometimes because of CPM ads...

    Is it better to place image ads only to earn more ?

    You can experiment with placing image only ads, but I've found that they will usually have a lower CTR than text ads. The majority of them also pay CPM only.

    it can depend on the advertiser too, depends on what the advertiser set his payment options to, whether to clicks or just impressions, and i havent found them to pay more

    that changes according to your site theme.

    it's better to try both of them and decide after it:)

    cpm takes over the whole ad block like the image ads do, but it does not pay per click... if somebody clicks on it, you don't get paid, you are giving your traffic away for free.

    adsense cpm is garbage.

    you can tell adsense support to turn off cpm ads for your account, and you can set up each ad block to not show image ads... turning off image ads also turns off adsense video ads.

    when i did all that, my earnings went up.

    I don't think it really matters what type of ads, I think they pay pretty much the same. its just the advertiser choosing what formsat they want their ads to be shown in.

    Well being a advertiser myself. Image ads may pay less than Text ads but they can have good CTR.

    Example.

    You have 1000 Impressions of Text and 1000 impresions of Image Ads.

    For 1000 Text Ad impressions if you have a CTR of 1% you will get 10 clicks ...if it pays average 20 cents per click you will earn 2$

    For 1000 Image ad Impressions if you have a CTR of 3% you will have 30 clicks and if it pays 10 cents per click you will earn 3$.

    So Image ads are better than Text ads.

    According to my study the CTR of image ads are 3 times more than text ads.

    But,I think it may cause to decrease your CTR.
