Hey I am fairly new to Google AdWords. My site currently ranks as no.1 for all of my desired keywords so I have no need to buy paid links on Google search results, however I noticed Google AdWords offer image advertisements. Could someone explain to me what websites my banner/image ads would be displayed on and even though I already rank as no1 in search results is it still worth me buying paid advertisements for my banner? Thanks Tom
hello,Tom You are thinking right no body buy a paid link if his keyword ranked in No-1 in search engine. But i also suggest, you can use Google Adwords image advertisement.image advertisement depends on you banner design(imaze size),Strobing and flashing, and how many compiteter of your keywords have in search engines.and also you can promote your image advertisement in a specific Area (like .com,.in,.uk,.ca) and specific category.use can use this type image for image adivertisement. s.
Wow - I would say if you already rank #1 in the search results that you have no real reason to even mess with adwords - organic traffic is always best anyhow!
Image ads are banner ads. Both flash banner and gif banner. These are served on the content network part of Google. (Users own websites) This type of advertising allows you to engage with a larger and wider customer base. Image advertising allows you to engage much better with the customer than text ads, pushing your brand and message directly to the customer. I hope that helps.
Hey Tom, its great to hear that you rank #1. Congrats!!! Before you start off your Image ads...just keep in mind that they might not be as efficient as your search ads because you are pushing things on to your audience whereas in search you were pulling them towards you...so the intent might not be there from the clicks you generate. I would suggest start off slowly by building up very tightly themed ad groups and see the data for yourself. Cheers.
