Image ads better CTR?

I m trying to decide wether to place text/image/or both...

And I was just wondering would it be correct to assume that image ads generally get better CTR?

 

I get a better CTR with pure text ads instead of image.

 

I totally agree with that. Text ads have a better CTR.

I tried running image ads for a month .. then switched back to text ads.

The results are stunning!
I thought images would generate far better CTR, but I was wrong.

If you know where to place your text ads, and how to optimize them, you will generate about 3-5 times more income with them.

If you are undecided, choose images/text option, that works great too

 

I'll have to agree that text ads seem to outperform for my CTR as well... Not to mention they're easier to place and dont take up quite as much space on the page...

 

I'm new to this adsense.. just reading here and it giving some good ideas.. thanks for the great info. I will try that

 

One would assume text images get better CTR because the text description makes a huge diffrence on whether people click through.
