Today I've put on image adds specially on a site with a low CTR, and I'm wondering if image adds usually develop higher CPC, or do they even pay for each impression? I'm getting lot Monster.com adds so im gueessing those are worth a lot. Thanks and merry X-mas!
and if by adds you mean ads, as in advertisements, then yes, we can talk. Normally I find that text blocks get a higher CTR for me and also allow you to display more ads at once instead of being forced to display only a single ad. If I see an ad taking up a whole block, even for a text ad, I will often block it because it's taking up valuable block space and will often be a CPM ad which I don't want. I have seen, though, that when you ad image AROUND a text block of ads, ie to the side of it, people are more opt to click on the ads because it seems more relevant to their searching.
CPM advertising tends to use image ads. So it is very likely that by enabling image ads, you'll get quite a few more CPM ads as well. Income wise, I really haven't noticed that image ads pay more than normal text ads. They compete for the same ad space, so it would seem that they should be paying about the same.
