I've always thought Apple computers are overpriced, afterall you could always get a large screen/LCD TV and a normal PC for a lot less $$$.

I'd choose the iMac. Sure it's a bit more expensive, but what you expect when your whole computer is the monitor! Innovation costs money :)

I'm using one right now. It's perfect.

I was told the Apples were really slow and crash alot. We have them within our media department and they're annoying =/

I think i prefer the plain, old, classic PC :D

I work with Apples and they're pretty user friendly, it just takes a day or two to get use to them. They are a little pricey, but if you got the cash, go for it. I've never really heard of anyone hating their Macs once they got one.

An iMac is not actually overpriced... a study awhile ago showed that if Apple priced the Leopard Operating System the same way Microsoft priced Vista, Leopard would cost over $600... The computer itself is overpriced, but only slightly, Macs constantly stay updated with the newest of hardware and the customization it takes in order to all run in harmony is a little tricker than just making a PC and installing drivers.

THey are priced high but well worth it.

I'd still go with the PC. More software and hardware available for the system.

Go with the iMac. They will retain their value a lot better, they will treat you better, and you will be happy.

Most people that say otherwise haven't used an iMac (or any Mac for that matter) extensively. I have used both PC's w/ most all OS's, and Mac's with most all OS's, and I definitely like the Mac's better.
