Hi, i just got an email with the title PayPal Needs Your Feedback They wanted my feedback about the procces when my account got limited. I had my acc limited few days ago and got restored. I readed the email carefully but when i found the link that looks like http://surveys2.incontact.com/paypal/survey_paypal.taf?survey_id=XXX&user_id=blablablablablbalbal Code (markup): I edited some numbers there Is this a scam?
Well I don't think its a scam, PayPal usually asks for your feedback after any dispute is closed or your account is restored from limit just to make their services more effective. Now its upto you if you want to complete that survey or not. Thanks
Well, i was worried because i usualy expect an email from @paypal.com or the link somthing like www.feedback.survey.limited.blabla.PAYPAL.COM
As far as I am aware, Paypal would never ask to share your personal details as well as pass in a survey. Hence if this link asks you to enter the same, just dump it! At first glance, the link does appear suspicious and I would surely not risk taking such a survey. Regards, RightMan
it's scam! just look at the domain. even it it's not, surveys are not by force. don't do it! PLEASE!!
Well whenever I got an email from PayPal it was from and link the email is something similar to the link mentioned above. @Rightman..PayPal will never ask any personal info or any security question in survey rather they will only ask about their feedback on particular event/transaction. Thanks
I guess it is much better to answer it in paypal website or perhaps you can call paypal about the dispute. Usually they asked about feedbacks in your part about a dispute being made to you . But to make sure only answer or send letter or e-mail using your paypal that is what I usually do and I dont usually click or believed in e-mails which comes in my gmail
They do send feedback/survey email and these are not from thier email.. as long as they dont ask ur user name and pass its legit
As long as it's not asking for your username and password (if it's not within paypal.com) then you're safe.
I normally ignore this kind of email. We can ask paypal to confirm back the email whether the email come from them or not.
Well, just to calm down everyone. I just got an email reply from PayPal confirming that the email was in fact sent by PayPal
BEWARE! I received similar emails and they are not from PayPal. I forwarded them to spoof (atsign) paypal.com and real paypal team responded: ......................................................................................................................... Thanks for forwarding that suspicious-looking email. You're right - it was a phishing attempt, and we're working on stopping the fraud. By reporting the problem, you've made a difference! Identity thieves try to trick you into revealing your password or other personal information through phishing emails and fake websites. So there is evidence that this is not real deal but fraud!
Exactly. The email is completely real, it's just that they use a 3rd party company to handle the customer satisfaction surveys. Just notice how they will not ask you for your login details If it was a phishing attempt, they would.
Best to avoid. Paypal has never asked me for their feedback after I used them for over 3 years. It is most likely a scam. If you are unsure, contact Paypal support and see if it is legit before you actually do the survey. there could be more hard than it actually seems.
