    Hey everyone,

I uploaded a Mailing List Manager (MLM) onto my hosting account at godaddy and it's ready to install except it's not taking me to the second step of the installation, I put the information in but nothing happens, I enter the

    Database Name I made
    The username I made
    The password I made

and the Database Host, but Nothing happens... I also don't know how to CHOMD any of the Files & Folders to 777 as stated in the installation guide  can somone please tell me what i'm doing wrong? :(

    thanks,

you can chmod 3 ways, using your ftp client or the file manager in your control panel.
or using shell but the other 2 ways are easier and most generally used.

    duck soup... ;)

    cheers,

I only just found that out on dreamweaver, never even noticed it before... I still had no luck installing the blasted thing, I'll give it away for free to anybody who's willing to try it on there host for me, It's worth like $40 ... see If it works you? I'm not sure if it's just the software it's self or if my hosting doesn't like it... I just want a simple easy to use mail list manager to handle opt-ins from my temporal sales pages:(

are you editing php files with dreamweaver?
i don't think thats a good idea, use a text editor.

i'll try and set it up if its not too time consuming.

Ok, I gave up on that script, it's obviously broken... I Looked for something else and found an open source software called phplist, I need something that can handle subscriptions from multiple sales pages, I'm eventually going to sell off my websites & products through a kind of turnkey site, but in the mean time the sites themselves can still be making me some money, So I really don't want to commit myself to paying a monthly fee on something like aweber or get response when I'm not doing a serious campaign for them...

    http://www.phplist.com/

looks more promising then that other thing
