I just came across a laptop perfect for you, if you have someone in US, order it to their place and then ask them to ship it to you, its really cool config and is under your price. What games is this Media Accelerator going to be capable of playing? Duke 3D? Seriously if you want a budget gaming machine forget about a laptop. With laptops you are paying for portability, definately not graphics. And when you start talking upgrades its big $$$
Please don't give up helping. I'm benefiting from your post - it's exactly what I was looking for! I'm sure Dell is thrilled you posted its config and that you recommended Dell for a sale. That config is posted on their website.
Do you have any Idea in mind for a suitable laptop for a graphic and animation artist who deals with 2D, 3D, and other Vector related graphic softwares. Do you suggest laptop for designing works? Any disadvantages using laptop for graphic and animation works? I was about to buy one last week but dropped for want of suggestions from friends. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
I would not recommend a laptop for heavy graphics work. You can use a really high end configuration laptop for this kind of work (something like T2500 Dual Core 2 Ghz Preocessor, 2 GB RAM, 160GB HDD SATA 7200 rpm, Radeon or NVIDIA 256 MB graphics card), but it would be really very expensive (Around Rs 1,00,000), which doesn't make any sense to me.
Thank you sumit, temporarily droping the Idea of having laptop for graphics works, in place I will have one more computer with good configuration for heavy works at affordable price. You have nice grip over the catagories and configurations about laptops. lol.
I really like the new MacBook Pro from Apple... and so I hope adsense will help me achieve my goal. haha
I sell cheap laptops via www.technoworld.com and all discounted to undercut the high street and have all major brands available Acer Sony Toshiba Lenovo HP etc . Only supply in the UK and we are listed on manufacturer websites as an approved online supplier so have a look as I sell over 2000 laptops per month. Trading since 1995 so no probs with references etc but £ 300 is not going to get you any decent laptop so I suggest you save some money and buy a better one that will do what you want.
How about a second sale laptop, considering the low budget.Sometimes you may get a low budget laptop but you should check the technical specifications and also the screen resolution before you finally think of buying one for yourself.
