hello, im a new to google adwords though i use adsense. I want to advertise my website(jokes and riddles) using the google adwords . After going thru many article and info about it, i came to conlusion that adwords is getting done by key words and so on.But still im not sure how does this works. Right now i have a maximum budget of aroun $50-60. What should I do now. how should i use is profitably. I even check out some other adverting co(adengage and other) from that i came to know that CPC and more on.. What are the major factors should be checked to do while investing in advertising. Since being a new site and low budget do you want me to advertise in any other place or whether google is cool. how much traffic can i expect after investing a above amt. Im sorry if im much long over in my post. I being a newbie im totally confused over doing in so. Please spare some time and explain me clearly. If any one help me that would be thankfull. thank in advance
Read the Google Guide here. Personally I will buy traffic from Stumble Upon if it's a joke site. They do very well with SU traffic and can be geo targeted too.
how do you generate revenue ? adsense ? selling products ? What you need to do is keyword-research and/or use the Adwords keyword tools to find KW with low competition which wont cost you an arm and a leg. Also...you should adhere to Google's standards what they consider a good landing page for PPC. This includes valid pages for privacy information, contact us etc..etc...and of course relevancy to the keywords you're using on adwords. If you offer potatoes you get high costs per click (CPC) if you'd try to use a keyword like "tomatoes"..or even "vegetables" Also...for Google, an landing page is good when it provides a good customer experience: That is, offering a product and make it easy for the customer to purchase the product in max. 2 clicks, easy navigation and similiar. It takes some time to figure out adwords, but its doable. Its not rocket-science Edit: Otherwise i agree...depending on your way of generating revenue you might be better off with social bookmarking like digg, stumble etc. Adsense Arbitrage (eg: Paying for Ads ---> landing page ---> higher revenue from AdSENSE) is an art and is NOT easy...so if you're a newb and your only revenue is Adsense this would be a toughy.
