IM to Non-English Countries

Hi everyone, I was thinking how the best sourse to market to is usually to an audience that hasn't been marketed to. I thought of how newly developing countries that are more recently starting to use the internet might be a good audience.

My question is, how would I go about trying to market to a Non-English audience, if I don't have a product of my own. (Maybe an Amazon store?)

What country have you got in mind with this? I think that this can be good idea, because English audience is really very competitive.

About affiliate products, you should find affiliate which offer a lot, take a look at my BlogTitle for More Niche, they are just great, nice community.

There is also lots of other affiliates, CB, CJ, ... Maybe take a look also at products you want to market, the one you have interest in.

Well, as a person living alternatively in 3 countries (France (my home country), China (soon to get permanent residency) and NY (already a permanent resident)), there are a few things I can tell you.

Do NOT think that untapped market is easier to reach. Take Europe as an instance. Europeans (sorry guys, I tend to generalize but from my experience this is true) tend to think more than Americans in terms of buying. Reason ? Prices in European countries are like twice as expensive as in the US (I remember my first time in NYC, I was all like "OMG this is all so cheap here !! I want to buy everything !!"). As a corollary, try an email campaign targetted to American people -> Huge results. Same campaign aimed at Europeans -> 0. ( that's what I experienced several times already) However, Europeans tend to communicate more than Americans, in a consistant way. If you observe Americans speaking, it's most of the time short sentences. Europeans like long and well-constructed stuff. As for marketting, Americans like the sensational stuff ( BEST DEAL EVER, GET RICH QUICK, etc) while Europeans would tend to leave such pages instantly, because they look for clear non-sensational reasons beyond the facts.
Take China as another example. I'm here right now, and I can tell you the perspectives are a whole lot different. Chinese people have been deprived of luxury items for all their history. Now they start to get a decent income (for a few of them) all they want is a HUGE SELECTION. This would be seen as counterproductive in European countries, for when you present a huge selection to people, they tend to lose more time in picking something to buy rather than buying. But if you don't show your wealth of selection, Chinese people go away.

Just to say, untapped markets may be good, but they are a lot of pitfalls.

    Hi.

I agree with your description of Europeans (mostly west), well done. Green rep for you. :)
