I am doing custom ad placement on specific pages of my blog and am reaching 15% CTR. Although that's from search engine traffic, the general traffic from DP etc etc gives 0.5-1% CTR. ;)

The site is actually only for the phrase Chrysler 300 Grill. Keyword tracker shows about 600 SPM, and there was very little competition. Currently my page fluctuates between 4-8 on the SERP's for that phrase. I just purchased a dedicated domain for it Chrysler300Grill.com. I think I can get it to the top and hopefully capture the bulk of the searches. This is the one page I've done well with so far...mainly because the competition was very low and I got a good Google position for the phrase...unfortunately it doesn't have lots of searches. I'm making a couple bucks a day off that page though.

If I may make a suggestion, you really need to put up lots of written content in order to begin drawing the sorts of long tail searches that are the bread and butter of AdSense revenue generation. Oodles of quality written content plus good, one way inbound links to your pages will yield the sort of succes you're seeking over time.

Long tail serps bring motivated, information seeking visitors a good percentage of whom will click on Google ads.

One of the ways to accomplish this is to use WordPress as your platform where you can automate the addition of new content consistently over the long haul. If you have trouble writing content yourself, outsource it or invest in PLR. A lot of patience and persistance will pay off.

Few bucks?! I'm happy with the few dimes I make!

When you sell the site, you'll get more money than you invested in the site!

Ditch the sites you're working on and find something you're better at. 2 Months, I was making 100$ A day.

Ha ha...it's funny you say that..and you may be right. Up till now, I've always worked on sites that were subjects I knew about or enjoyed...it made the work easier. I'm realizing that to make $$, that's not the way to go. I think i may have found a niche that's worth working on....along the lines of 40000+ searches a month with about 7000 competing intitle sites...I'm going to work on it...and focus less on the others.

What are you doing to build your links? Are your ads optimized well - in-between the content and such?
