I have a problem... I am FAR to trusting. I like to believe that people are good. And it seems that no matter how many times I get taken... I make the same mistake and trust that someone will follow through with what they say they will. It is always with programmers. I don't know what it is, but I seem to be able to pick out the dishonest ones like it's my job. I start them with small jobs, build report with them over the course of 9 months to sometimes a year. Then I have a large job for them to complete. And it seems that once I try and have them complete a large project for me, they leave after they get their deposit. Just recently I made a BIG mistake by trusting a member of DP, The Reckoning. He had done work for me in the past... I asked him if he could do another project for me, he agreed. LOOONG story short, I have paid him $1,000+ to complete the project. After missing his first deadline he now refuses to work on it, and has told me his friend will complete it. I filled a dispute on PayPal. The site was being developed on his (not the friend) server. So he changed all the passwords so the friend could not work on it. How do I manage to get myself into these situations, and why don't I learn from them!? I needed to let off some steam, thanks.
