I'm thinking to start a Proxy Hosting company

Hi all proxy owners,

I like the idea to provide a similar to Embedproxy service. I will follow the same method to provide free proxy hosting through <iframe> and also I will have some payed hosting packages so clients can customize their own proxified pages or even choose between phproxy and cgiproxy.

I found a great dedicated server company with good prices and I was wondering if you know any other companies doing the same thing. Also tell me your opinions on that business plan.

positive effect : you will have loads of buyers to host from your company

negetive effect: there is possiblity of legal issues with proxies.

 

you mean if some use proxies for spamming? I faced that problem with one of my proxies.

 

maybe the solution to the possibly legal problems is to let them host their own domain name.

 

I love embeded proxy. If we could customize the landing page I would certainly use your service.

 

this is one of the many ideas I have. Users will be able to customize the landing page and place their own logo, ads etc etc.

Also I'm thinking of the way Profixy gives affiliates the opportunity to earn commission if a user sign up for some "extra" features.

 

that is a great idea but there are so many proxy out there. I wanted to build one but with all that competition it is hard.

 

It a great idea .But the problem is that most of the big proxy owner hate embed proxy, bcoz they don't want to see u behind them !

And u have to be ready with a big server with Mega resource!

what happens when embed proxies url or ip address gets blocked by the proxy filters? then dont all the sites go down at once?

 

If I see a sudden decline in traffic, I will simply change the ip.

 

My opinion : Don't even go there. They will use to much resources, you suspend. Look for more, goes around in a circle.

Also, you can get into trouble with the law.

 

Why wouldn't you simply set up your own proxies and monetize them? Since proxies eat up a lot of traffic and system resources you get more bang for the buck.

How is that exactly?

 

well even if u change the ip sometimes its the domain names which get blocked - resulting in your domain being blocked (which is what the code refers to) so surely it then wouldnt work?

 

The code really should refer to an ip and not the domain. It will be blocked very quickly the way you have it set up.
