Im thinking of using a wp theme and modifying it for my website

    Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of doing this?

    I have little if any experience with php - but will learn through tutorials and hard work.

    What are your thoughts?

    It's a good way to start learning PHP. I can't see any cons to it.

    It could be a frustrating learning curve, but if you stick at it Im sure you will learn loads.

    You'd be better if you read 1-2 starter books before trying to understand the php code in WP ... would save you a lot of frustration.
