Hi Will Ross and welcome to DP Forums.

Are you seeking to use ppc (as a publisher) to monetize your traffic or do you wish to use it to grow your traffic?
Either way, give us some history ..........have you tried any network as a publisher or as an advertiser? And how many pageviews per day are you currently at (if you want to use it as a publisher).

Will try to point you in the right direction,

    Hi Will,

We all have to start at the bottom. And starting at the bottom means there is only one way to go :)

    I will try to help.

If your 30 to 40 web users per day were searching for yachts with a selling price of hundreds of millions of $ in price tag, then you might be well along the road to building a good solid biz. Likewise if they were each from affluent countries and each seeking to purchase multi-million dollar homes .......then once again, you just might be well on your way.

But looking at the opposite end of that spectrum, depending on what country your web users are from and what content is on your website, then many ad networks pay as low as $0.02 per thousand ad views and you would be surprised at how many usa publishers earn $0.20 and less per thousand ad views.

And somewhere in between those 2 extremes, there are plenty of publishers with high value content (such as financial vertical) who regularly see over $100. per thousand ad views ......... but for most of the web, probably $1 to $2 is more like the norm. Of course there are many variations and many sites that will fall into place anywhere in the range.

Some guys have tried to pick high value markets to promote and others have suggested newcomers start with a topic they are passionate about. This way they can derive satisfaction form tinkering with it (for years if necessary) until they make big profits.

    Hope it helps
