Im starting/rebranding a forum...but before I dive in... question!

Okay so I have had a forum at my website:

    http://baybreezebodyworks.com/forum/index.php

for quite some time, I have noticed that it generates a lot of hits, but since there is no content, the majority of people leave in under 30 seconds (obviously) ...I just havent had time to devote to it until now,

    now my question...

I would like to rebrand the forum under a new name, but still keep my business "baybreezebodyworks" as a forum in it as well, should I keep this forum hooked onto my main domain, or register it under a new domain name and delete it from my main domain, but link to it from my website... since there are really no members, and not much content it would be easy to do at this point before I go and market it... (and the content that is there I can just cut-n-paste onto the new forum since im the one who made all of it anyway..)

    thoughts? suggestions?

    Thank you!

Hits are probably bots looking to spam. My suggestion is to remove the forums.

You do have a rather long URL...however, since you're driving traffic from your main site on there, you could probably keep the URL the same although it wouldn't hurt to have a shorter domain just to make it easier for users to remember it and then just have that forward it to your longer URL that you'll actually be using.

I'd also recommend cutting down on the amount of sections you have as it's quite empty and since you practically have no activity, it looks rather dead.

    thanks for your feedback!

Yeah its rather dead for sure! what is best? maybe start with only a few sections and then add others as it gets 'busier' ? I havent really marketed the forum to anyone yet, so I was thinking of making a seperate one like you said, and using a better url , then starting some campaigns on facebook to get people to visit the site (I have a network of therapists that I talk to who may find the site useful...)

I think Im going to go ahead and register another domain before the one I want is taken! thanks!!
