Hello everyone, I have read о lot of articles about google advertising, so i finally desided to try out the adwords and adsense. But since I don't have a website I guess i will pass on the adsense for now. But I got a small problem. I got stuck, what do I do next? I went through adwords registration and i'm on the page where it asks to create my own add. I went through Starter Edition So next page asks me What site will your ad link to? What do I put here? Do I have to have an Affiliate ID site link? Also, there are other things that bother me. For example, If I want to be an affiliate of particular site, do I have to register on that particular site for affiliate program? Does it mean all pennies that i will make from promoting this site will be paid by this site? is this a good idea at all to do a direct affiliating program? another thing that gets me confused. One site asks for my own site and will give links to put on my site. Do I really need to have a site? can't I just use Adwords for promoting? I have also registered with clickbank.com and several others and I don't see anything that look good there, seems that every product they offer violates google's Advert. conditions. The link they provide are popups? am I wrong or there is a way arounnd it? Please help me out, I'm stuck on something so stupid, makes me feel like a smart guy! Thank you, G.R.
Hi, Humm lots of questions..I will try and help you by answering one at a time. 1. First of all if you do not have a website, get one for free at www.blogger.com. Make a blog, put few articles from websites like www.ezinearticles.com. If possible concentrate on one topic and write your own articles. Put adsense on it. 2. Use your blog to apply at good affiliate programs like www.cj.com. You can also visit and join clickbooth http://affliateprograms.blogspot.com/ You will also get a free guide on adwords. That should help you get started. Regards, Ajeet
Heh..who said you clickbank products violates Google norms? Go to clickbank , find out some products with good sales copy and consistent top position and starts your ppc ads to promote them. Clickbank links are not pop-up.
I believe it was a reference to the number of ClickBank products that have a sales page which has a popup ... and under Google's T&C you can't have a pop-up on an Adwords landing page. If you can find a product that doesn't have pop-ups then you are allowed to link to the sales page directly using your ClickBank affiliate link. However, this may not earn you the most return on your advertising investment. You're better off writing a pre-sales web-page (and yes, this could be a blog if you don't have a web-site) which *then* links to the actual sales landing page. Your pre-sales blurb will endorse the product. There are different techniques to achieving this, some of which I talk about in my blogs. Let me know if you need any further specific help. H
