The electric company cut off my refrigerator light So I need a final decision. Should I go towards dating sites, or towards casino sites? I know that the US banned online gambling in Nov 2006, so that kind of sours it for me, since it's obvious that most of the players would be from the US. Which should I go for to get my refrigerator light back?
I would say a casino site! Those affiliate programs pay $$$ How many dating sites are out there? You can't compete with Lavalife!!!
I don't like either niche, both are so overdone on the Internet that it is hard to compete. Try to find a newer niche that is not overpopulated.
When you think about it, it's limited. Quest, Adultfriendfinder, Lavalife and a few others. People join more than one dating site, usually, and a free dating site is bound to hit off well enough, since most are paid. Guess Im leaning towards dating site because of the US problem. I can't really imagine gambling in many other countries than US.
if its just the refrigerator light; i'd just replace it. i doubt its the power company shutting off a single light in your house
Luckily, I'm 17, and obviously living with my parents, so I'm in no rush to establish a few nice sites. The light probably burned out, but I am close to broke.
I had a dating site for two years and promoted the heck out of it. It was free and all I got was swingers putting up nude pics of themselves (ugly ones at that). Earnings from adsense and CJ were nill. It can be done but don't think you are going to earn any quick money and it takes a lot of time and money to promote the site.
That's strange.. your place is very $$$. Just move to the prairies and buy a mansion for the same price . Aren't you going to need to invest in order to make money.. I would say try proxies but summerbreak is coming up!
I already own a few proxies, and I am making money with them. Summer is coming up, so I'll be working on a summer project, hence my struggle. And for the nay-sayers about oversaturated niches. If the niche isn't ovesaturated, it's not searched enough. I'll just start with lower searched keywords, and work my way up. It's certainly not impossible, but then again, I'm not trying to make an AdultFriendFinder or a PokerStars.
Just get a real job and see how hard people work for there money. You will call it a life lesson if you do.
Thanks for staying on track. Anyway, the point is that I don't want a real job. I want to be having fun with AdSense, and though you can learn from your own mistakes, I prefer to learn from others' mistakes. Which is why I asked what would be the better to run with, for a successful site in 3-4 years.
I have a job so money isnt much of a problem for me. I also just invested a bunch so I'm hoping to get a good turn around from that. If the affiliate programs don't work for you then I would suggest staffing on other people's sites. I just mad 20 dollars doing 5 minutes of work for somebody. Tis easy.
