I'm smartpriced, any advices?

Hello, I believe I have been smartpriced and it really affects my earnings, I'm loosing couple of hundred $ a month because of that.

My sites are in entertainment niche. Now I'm getting 0.020$ at least peer click, and I think I have been smartpriced because my CTR was really low, around 1% . Some people say that it needs to be at least 3% if you don't want to get smartpriced.

I have decided to try to change it so I have changed my site layout, changed the add placement and now I'm getting around 3.5 % CTR for 15 days already.

The question i want to ask is how do I get out of smartpriced zone? Some people say that if i remove ads for 3 weeks and place them later ( with better placement aka CTR) that my earnings could be back to normal? Any advices?

Before, I was having 0.10$ peer click for couple of month with the same site when I started ...

From what I hear the removing the ads doesn't work anymore. People are saying almost everyone is smart priced now until they get a higher PR and become an authority type website aka premium publisher. I think this is because the massive amount of publishers signing up daily for adsense so they really have unlimited ad distribution.

Everybody is smart priced and unless advertisers specifically seek out your site to advertise, per click price will remain depressed. Now anybody can start a site for free in 10 minutes and plaster it with adsense.

where in the world did you hear that CTR stuff?
    I had a 40% - 50% CTR on a site I have since
taken down because of that same reason, it was
bringing down my other sites earnings. It was getting
250 clicks a day and about $2.20 to show for it. so I
scrapped it, and earnings are back up for my account.
    - just something to think about

If my experience is valid for you, you may want to remove your ads for 20 days full to get out from the smart price filter. I read it somewhere but forgot where it is. But I've got smart priced twice and escaped from there twice also with that tips.

And, do you put anything on your competitive ad filter? If not, add something there especially MFA sites. I found it useful to remove MFA and Low CPC ads to increase revenue. Try search for this topic here in DP forum. Hope it helps.

Remove ads from the site/s you believe is causing your account to be smart priced and use another monetization method for that site.

From what I can work out, it is a terms that aptly describes my current adsense plight for some of my sites!

edit: I took the brave step of actually googling my original question to find a rather convenient adsense blog post, from google, describing the exact issue!

I doesn't matter if I visited my site ior not, 3000 other people already visited it today.. there's no Adsense code anymore on site, and still 5 impressions ...

No I don't have, when I was starting my "online career" I had one Arsenal video blog on blogspot. By the way you have very interesting site, but tough competition definitely (OleOle) ...
