    Hi,

I am in the process of setting up an affiliate program and am interested to know what sort of creatives people use the most.

How many different banners etc should I create
    What are the best sizes

Any other advice regarding making creatives for affiliate programs would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

You mean you're setting up an affiliate program like Azoogle or something like that? If so, that is awesome. I don't have much to offer because I have yet to use affiliates for profit, but I wish you the best of luck.

    Hi MafiaMaster,

I am setting up an affiliate system for a specific store. The rates are going to be quite high and it is a very niche market sector.

If anyone is interested please pm me and I can give you more information. We are really looking for experienced affiliates, but if you do not have any experience of affiliate marketing we can help you get off the ground and supply you with some good materials.

    Cheers

I'd use programs like BannerMakerPro to create banners

I always prefer to use text links :)

In case I deside to put a banner the sizes I mainly use are
    120x60, 88x31, 468x60, 120x240, 125x125 etc. In any case
I would recommend you to offer your affiliates as many different
sizes as you can. Just use IAB standarts:
    http://www.iab.net/standards/adunits.asp :)

And ... I prefer to work through Affiliate networks :)

Well the problem of operating through a network is that they take commission. That means less money for the affiliate and advertiser!

    Thanks for your advice Artvision.

That's true but your sales should be XXXX times more if you choose the
    correct aff net.
From affiliate point of view - the affiliates also feels secure that
they will receive their commission (working through network) :)

    You're welcome! :)
    Good luck with the prog!

You will need a bunch of banners. People will have different preferences for what works on their sites. You should also offer flexible colors, etc. MOST IMPORTANTLY, you will need to be available to people when they have questions. Think of it as an extension of customer service. I find this is the most important aspect in managing the affiliate program.

Simple answer here is text links that they can customize and also offer a datafeed, which will benefit you and your users aswell.
