I'm in the process of selling a site of mine. I obviously need to transfer all of the files over to him. How exactly do I go about creating a zip file with all the files of my site? I want to upload all of my files to a zip file and have it like: mysitesname.com/super-secret-zip-file Thanks

Nevermind, I'm in my hosting account right now and I see the backups tab. I'm downloading a backup now. After the backup downloads, I should save it to my computer and then upload it to my site via ftp? That should work right?

Edit: The backup just produced a very long sql string with all my sites info???

hei man , go inside your cpanel and open file manager . select that domain folder and make an zip from it .
go to phpmyadmin and do a backup (export) from database . after that you can give the zip and the sql to the new owner . i hope he will know what to do with it .

if you still have problems just PM . i can transfer your site for an small fee

If he is using a good host, they will take care of the transfer process.

Almost all hosts have transfer service...

the easiest way is to backup your data using zip/compress features from your old web to new web.
then doing also for your database.
On the new hosting you must make sure the connection name to database (such as db name) has been updated.
