Hey my people, How is everyone doing today. I have a quick question that Im doing some research on and everything so I figured I'd get some input here at DP. I have a website that has ranked in a keyword that is pretty tough to get it seems. I believe it ranks around 34. My question is what can I do to get it going up. Should I add content on the page? and if thats one thing I could do does it matter where its at on the page? Top or bottom or anywhere? Theres probably so much that can be done. Any suggestions or input would be great. Thanks edit: I dont want to make this seem like a "How to rank on search engines" - I just don't want to mess up and slip backwards instead of forward what are some do's and don'ts for people in my situation?
if you want your serp to go up, you will need more backlinks. i suggest you to use directories like alive directory or big web links
Continue to do what you were doing before but more of it. Adding content will help but make sure it is unique. Directory submission, building relevant backlinks, article submission, social bookmarking. BTW congrats on your rank Thanks
Hire a professional directory submitting service. That should help. Just be sure they don't submit to junk directories. That can hurt your ranking.
Spread your internet marketing effort across the board: Develop unique/original/useful content for your target audience. Try to develop relevant links to your site. Submit your site to various directories. Ensure that your page is fairly search engine optimized - Metatags, Metadescription, etc, etc. You can use various free blogging platforms that are out there, as well as free press releases to help gain a wider presence. Good luck with your efforts. Its a marathon, not a sprint - just be patient and keep after it.
I think if you want to increase PR then Quality Content is Must. Frequent Update is very essential. And Get oneway links from Related Keywords that you used. And very soon If you have Good PR.., then you can sell links or if you want to move ahead... then go for Top SERPs.
you will need more backlinks from authority websites (sites that related to yours and well established) you have to use your keywords on the links as well...

I saw a thread about a guy asking if it was a good idea to make 1000 websites (that'd be tough to keep up with that volume who knows how he would do it by himself ) but he said if each and every site had unique content and all were different - and the content was kept fresh all the time - then if he linked them all going to one of his websites - Would that one website be ranked higher and receive a better rank? 1000 is probably not a good number to use so what about 10-25 websites - would that be essential to making your website strong and ranking?
u need links...but building links manually is a hard process. you need to figure out a way to get people to link to you
How tough is "pretty tough''? You need to analyse the competing sites as well as buy links with your targetted keywords...........
Congratulations on your rank. You can improve it further by adding new backlinks. However, as many have stated above, you need good quality unique content. Just make sure that you keep updating your site with article submissions and the like. You could also try a few PPC links. Just suggesting.
