Try emailing the guy and asking. No need to bad mouth him here w/o giving him the chance to fix your issue. No offense, but 5 hours? Chill out a bit...

Sellers of products do not send the paypal paid to a download link.
What they do is wait for the paypal receipt to come to them, then they send the download link to the email address used in paying via paypal.

Cuts down a lot on free downloaders finding the links, or people who buy then pass on the links to their friends, etc.

Warez sites are loaded with download links!

Why I change my download links frequently, plus in some cases, wait for payment, then send a download link that is only good for a certain period of time.

You never heard of what i am talking about tho. its what paypal does, it comes in your receipt usually, you pay and if you pay then paypal in the receipt sends the link. In this case it did not happen but im just going to wait.

Considering what you're buying, anti-fraud measures are to be expected (unless of course delivery is time critical)..

Give it some time, remember it's a weekend, and see what the vendor has to say. He/She might actually appreciate your feedback, and modify their transaction process (as you've mentioned) to ensure people don't worry so much in the future.

I know how you feel tho. I too worry when I encounter this sort of thing, especially when dealing with a vendor I've not used before.

    Cheers,

    JL

And yes i always worry about this when im dealing with new vendors, hopefully its just a bug in his paypal button, and he/she gets it fixed after i recieve my product.

A few months ago I purchased an eBook, and the download link did indeed end up in my spam folder.

    This is sage advice :)

Sometimes it's better just to try the direct approach of contacting the owner of the site.
