Im PageRank 0 w/ no Backlinks -- but taking in traffic -- ???

My site is 0 pagerank, and I now have maybe 4 low quality backlinks.... but Im ranking pretty good (1st page) for some coveted phrases


Also, the site is brand new (less than 2 months old)


Any idea what's going on here?


Also, how does one raise their pagerank? Is it by aquiring backlinks????

How do you know it PR0? Google have not done an export to the toolbar for at least a few months now.

 

Congratulations. But you need no PR to get free traffic from search engines even if new or almost new. It just need to get indexed, or good keyword in domain. Social bookmarking in good niches (stumble, delcious, etc) from a few pages of your web will bring you instant traffic (at least it have worked for me). That don't means permanent traffic, but traffic.

that's cool, but your rankings may fluctuate a lot in the next few months, try to just go with the flow

 

Its very strange... my first website ever....

I was #1 for a keyword for about 1 day, then disappeared for 2-3 days.... now I've been fluctuating between #9 & #10

I can't wait to really build backlinks & really get rolling!!!
