I'm am the sole proprietor and, for now anyways, there will be no other employees. What title should I give myself so that I can put it on my business cards? I will be selling misc products. Anything from electronics, to knives, to clothes.
how about researching high traffic keywords first and then deciding what to put as a title? What do people put in Google Search when they're looking for products like what you plan on selling?
Research keywords on some of the products you will be selling and base the name of your site off the highest searched keywords, i suppose edit: okay so someone basically already posted this.
Yeah CEO as above I have seen people actually list 'Sole Proprietor' as the occupation title so others know its a small biz not a big company with many employees like CEO indicates or "Manager/Owner of Biz Name"
I would go with CEO, that way you can always grow into the title as the business grows. Best of luck with it
Don't get cute with the title unless you're one of those types of people who just oozes "cool" with everything you do. I'd just put "owner", but do something memorable with the business card so it stands out from the rest. InternetAd.biz
I agree, most would just title themselves as owner. Some appropriate alternatives are: manager, creator, sole propriator.
Business name or title of yourself? Title = Affiliate Marketer Businessname = "Better & Cheaper" "honey have you seen those new kitchen knives from Better & Cheaper?" I can see it now...
