Hello, I'm on first page on google with some keyword, but not getting any traffic to my site :/ How it can be? I checked on google keyword tool, that keyword has 60 000 local searches and 33 000 global. My keyword is on position 9 on first page. Can someone explain it to me, whats happening? Thanks
Most of the traffic is divided between the top three positions, with the majority going to the top position. You should also check what the traffic is for an exact match of your keyword rather than broad search, as other keyword combinations could be affecting the volume reported by Google.
I am on the top 5 of my keyword and I am not gettng any traffic from it. Perhaps getting into the number would boost our traffic.
If you search for google heatmap then you would see that no 9 is not in the area that people look at.Get your page in top 3 for any results.
where have you checked keyword volume? i.e on https://adwords.google.com/ or adwords.google.co.uk like any other regional domain.
When you say you're not getting any do you mean that literally? You should be getting at least something, if it's too low maybe you should move on to a different keyword.
Hi, From my own experience, I wouldnt trust the google keyword tool to be accurate at all, far from it. I rank well for lots of keywords and know how inaccurate the tool can be for some keywords. I will say however that for other keywords the tool is extremely accurate. For one keyword in particular the broad local search volume is 49,500 and the exact volume is supposedly 27,000. For this keyword I have ranked number 3 on the first page for over a week. Yet so far I havent received a single visitor for this keyword. I do understand the many people would click on the number 1 position and any sponsored links. But you would have thought that it would have got at least 1 click by now. Thanks
It's funny. Probably your website fluctuates, and not always on first page. Even then, no getting traffic is still very weird.
Can someone explain how it is possible that local search is 60000 and global - only 33000 (like the author says)? I thought that global search volume should sum all volumes from all countries...
Do more SEO for getting more traffic...mostly blog commenting and linkbuilding which can get you to that top spot.
Position 9 is nothing. You need to be on top 3. Also Google Keyword tool is not correct. You should other keyword tools like
