I have been promoting my directory keeping a close watch on google.

I'm ranked #2 (of about 41,600,000) on Google for a two word keyword which is giving me +200 uniques per day.

The best position I have for a single and common keyword is #2 (of about 3,510,000) which is giving me aprox 60 uniques per day.

Also I'm ranked #1 for many other keywors not so competitive.

 

Pagerank has nothing to do ever with the SERPS
PR is always used for building more PR for selling links to those who are again looking for PR
SERPS is something which everyone cannot get

 

I can't tell you the exact keyword, but I will say:

Ranks #2 for about 1,330,000 results, and 600 estimated searches per month

Ranks #1 for about 3,450,000 results and 8523 searches per month
Ranks #7 for about 13,100,000 results and 9621 searches per month
Ranks #1 for about 8,980,000 results and 857 searches per month

Site #3
Ranks #1 for about 4,630,000 results and 1089 searches per month

Plus about ten others with the same ranking. These are some of the most difficult keywords to rank on and are all in the "mortgage" realm.
