I'm now #1 on Google.. Should I wait before adding ads?

According to me you should ho ahead that the time to get reward of your effort

 

Of course I was planning on monetize this site! But I want to do it the righ way! I don't want to go too fast and regret it later.

With this site, I don't want to make 2$/day for 2 weeks... I want to make 25$/day for 3 years!

Anyway, I'm currently testing some ads on my site and they will be online soon.

I would start monetising asap. You don't know how long you will have the top spot for.

 

get some ads on quickly! Just don't add to many at once, try a few at a time and see how it effects your ranking

Yes, put your adsense ads on your site and maybe an affiliate marketing link to a relevant product.

The important thing is keep up the good work. Keep building links. There is always some smart alec just waiting to displace you from that number 1 position.

I have managed to get number one in google for about a dozen keywords in google for my sites. But it has taken continued work to keep them there

I guess you are right. I'm pretty sure some folks are furious I stole their #1 spot!

As I said, only +/- 100 unique vistors per day. But my keywords are very targetted and they are really high paying if I believe the AdWords tools. I'll know for sure really soon!
