think about what happens when somebody gets tricked into clicking on an ad for a product that they are not interested in buying... they bail out immediately, so there is no conversion for the advertiser.

it's a scammer wannabe tactic that will result in lower epc(aka smart pricing).

adsense is all about the advertiser, not the publisher.

Try moving the google search up a bit above your RSS logo, then people are more likely to use it. The problem with your site and many blogger / wordpress based sites is that people become familiar with the general layout and tend to block out most ads. Try a new theme or a site redesign and I'm sure your CTR will improve.

IMO, visitors are not interested in clicking on Adsense. They just read content and move away. Ask yourself the question: How many times you clicked on Adsense?

Yeahh..indeed; You got a domain, lots of unique content..and a "standard" blogger blog..If you are short of money there are tons of css templates you can use for freeeeee..just search in Google.

It's a shame, I like ur site...it deserves a better lay-out. Here is one link to help you out and give you an idea; www.freecsstemplates.org

    Good luck mate

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm in the process of moving my domain from Blogger over to a dedicated host...and I'm going to use WordPress from here on in. I hear it's a lot more versatile.

I'm not as worried about ad clicks at the moment. I'm making a couple bucks a day, but I'd just like to see my uniques at a thousand or more a day. I'd be pretty happy if I could get it up to that number.

Give it some more time. Looks like your blog is only about a month old. I didn't see a Google check for about 6 months.

Your current traffic may simply be other webmasters or passer-bys. You may not see any income until you establish some targetted traffic from real consumers.

Steveb has it right on the money -- it can take time, quite a lot of time actually, before you'll begin seeing real results with AdSense. But the key is sticking with it, continuing to create original, useful content for your users, tweaking your AdSense ad unit placement, and also promoting your site among other blogs, forums, list directories, and the like.

    Good luck.

Thanks Steveb / atladsenser....the blog is only about a month old, but I guess I was just hoping for more traffic by now. I ran a check on the blog to see backlinks etc and this is what it came up with.

    TourGolfBlog Backlink check

I don't know why i have no Google backlinks. Wish I could figure out how to get some, because I'm sure that would help.

Put a Large rectangle at the top fold above your first article with Blue Title Color.

And that will help me how exactly? Just curious. Are you saying put a large rectangle ad above my first article...because I already have that. Or are you implying that that is a bad thing to do?

Here are some cost-effective ways to increase your backlinks:

    - Submit to directories; there's many free ones, but try to target the niche specific directories
    - Submit your unique articles to article portals.
    - Submit some press releases.
    - Keep writing quality articles. Sometimes people will link to your site simply because they like what you have to say.

I know it's hard to wait for results, but it is the best way if you want to earn money for the long-term. The "Get-Rich-Quick" schemes may have worked before, but not so much now. Search engines favor older websites with credibility.

I'm not exactly sure why it works, but I've expirement with adsense quite and bit. I think When the hit your page there eyes will first glance the blue links ((your adsense block) naturally Blue is associated with links, they spend whatever fraction of second reading as the scroll down to the content.

This increases your CTR by forcing your ads on your visitors.

I don't really want to force the ads on my visitors...i want to build enough traffic that people see the good, golf related ads and click them. I know good ad placement and color schemes help, but I don't want to be deceptive.

lol, okay well my second advice is not use Red/black title color you have for your adsense. I think Blue would be better.

100-200 views a day from unique visitors? then that should be good enough.
give it a week, see if nothing happened. if yes, try to revamp your adsense. from it's placement, theme and everything.
