Hi huys i need some help im submitting my site to over 100 directories but when i check my backlinks by using this tool http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker it says i have 44 backlinks all of them are from blogs that i comment on them most of them are from PR3 to pr6 backlinks none of them are from directories
if you submit your site to directories free then they will not be there immediately...it takes time...or if you already see it on their site possible that those sites aren't been crawled and so your link is still not consider as backlinks...
Make sure you submit to good and quality free directories, which have some PR and submit to the most appropriate category and sub-category. Usually sub-category level pages have very specific submissions, so its easy to get a link there, which will eventually get indexed by the search engines.
My experience is that free directories typically do not work. Ideally you can find a few relevent sites and find some way to get them to link back to you. Linkbait etc... Again - this is only my personal experience. I have tried the directory route before without much luck.
With many free directories it can take weeks just to get approved so your link would take longer to show up. You should do a mix of free and paid directory submissions to improve your ranking more quickly.
