I'm new to Twitter...What is it all about?

    Think of it like a short text, very public version of facebook. You can see everything, follow anyone, be followed by anyone - so no privacy, really.

    You can use it for promotion and there are the same concepts as you have for a facebook page regarding number of followers. Spammers will follow as many accounts as possible, wait until the person does a follow back (as a courtesy, usually) and then they unfollow so that they look like they have tons of followers and are therefore influential.

    It's a great way to connect with others and to get the word out with posts that are 140 characters or less. :)

    Its Social Media, it is all about letting people know what you are up to, what you are interested in, linking up with like minded people and for us it's about getting as many followers as possible and then promoting what you want to your audience

    you might get overwhelmed because it is too fast phased but it is just like any other social media wherein you can express yourself to the world but with just 140 characters limit.

    Yes it is really dynamic and open but it's not that similar to Facebook,it is to some point but not quite.

    Twitter allows you use 140 characters to express your feeling with your friends over the internet. It is about the following people and increasing your popularity. It helps you to save your time as the word limit is 140, on the other hand it is beneficial for the reader. People prefer to read short messages compared to the long ones.
