I'm new to the forum, Hello to all here

Hi my name is Tom. Greetings to all of you here. I am a middle aged professional person looking to find a way to leverage my skills and experiences into a web based business model.

Currently I am in South Central Kansas USA but we are planing to move to a new home in Dumaguete Philippines in the next several months.

I have been working as a networking engineer at the same company for 20 years (although it was acquired a few years ago). My experience goes back to the Dos days. I have worked with Server OS's from Novel and Microsoft as well as several Linux distributions. On the desktop I have worked with Microsoft OS's from dos 3.2 up to windows 7 and Redhat, Debian and SUSE Linux distributions. I have done custom database design using Access for the user interface and Sql or MySql for the data back end.

I am also a musician and enjoy writing and recording original music in my home studio. I am interested in all things related to Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs). When I am not practicing, writing or recording I am reading about equipment and techniques to improve my process and product.

Family is very important to my wife and I. We currently have my parents living with us and soon her mother will join us as well once we get relocated to the Philippines. We have 2 lovely daughters 2 and 4, 2 dogs and a cat.

I am looking forward to learning and growing from, and offering help when I can to, this community.
