I'm new to choosing

    I'm new to choosing a forum solution, so apologies for what I think is a basic question.

    I want to add forums to my website. The site already has a user registration and login feature for advanced functionality. To keep everything simple for my users, I want to ensure that their forum login is the same as their site login (or even better, if they are logged into the site, they are automatically logged in to the forum). I didn't see anything like this using the comparison feature, unless this is an example of how I could use groups. ?? I'm preferably looking for a free & open source solution, but it doesn't haveto be.

    vBulletin is nice and I think that phpld has the functionality you describe - check phpld forums for the mod. dawzz would know there.
