    Hi Guys

I started with PDC about 2 weeks ago now. I must admit that I'm really enjoying it, but.............I havent sold anything yet :(

I started off by advertising on Free Classified Ads (that didnt seem to do much at all!). Then I tried Rent-a-list which got the viewers in, but no sales.

I have now set up a website (I'm very very green at it so not sure if its any good!.........If someone wouldnt mind looking at it for me at some stage please I'd appreciate it. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the web address so I'll wait to be asked :). Its an affiliate website and I'm still on the hunt for new sites to promote :)

I've applied for Google Adsense......waiting for that to be approved......and my next step was going to be Google Adwords but when I started the process I realised that I was a bit toooooo green and I got a bit confused.

Anyway any help ANY of you could offer would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Rach

There's no such thing as the best marketing strategy. That being said, if you posted a link with your site it'd surely be helpful for us to try to take a look and give you feedback. Not all of us are telepathic, you know. :)

I disagree. Of course there is a thing as a "marketing strategy". Every business has a marketing strategy. Without one you are doomed to failure. Remember that.

Not a bad site after all :)

I think the main problem now is the traffic you are getting.. if you are attracting less than 100 visitors to your site daily then most probably you will not make any sales given your current format..

You may want to start off by studying the behaviour of your traffic. Are they leaving your site on the same page.. which most probably is the sales page..

Another thing that you would want to improve is to talk more on the recommending service / product. Imagine you are the visitor, will you be convinced given the current 'sales page'?

Good luck with your site, it has potential :)

You missed the BEST part in "best marketing strategy". Just in case you're still reading this, after having gotten banned. :)

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. If I knew how to study the behaviour of the traffic then I would def do it  !! I told you I was very green!! lol

So the 'sales page' would be the 'getting started' & 'testimonials' would it? Or would you just class it as the 'getting started' page? Sorry to ask silly questions but I am trying to view the site as a customer would but it gets a bit foggy sometimes!!

I basically dont have any traffic at all to the site right now - any suggestions on getting some while I'm waiting for Adsense approval?

Thanks again - its honestly very very much appreciated :)

You can study the traffic by looking into your server logs. Most web server provides logs like AWstats so that you can see which page are your visitors leaving you etc.

Your sales page is the page where you convince your visitor to buy your product with a call to action. One will have to be clear about this, will the visitor buy a product based on the testimonials? Or your sales pitch? Or both?

How much traffic are you getting at the moment. You may want to add adsense to monetise the site a bit.

Not getting any traffic yet to be honest - but then I havent really marketed it at all. I'm waiting to hear back from Google about Adsense so hopefully that will get the ball rolling :)

    Thanks very much

Read as much as you can about Internet marketing and then live and die by these three words: trial and error.

    Have you tried article marketing?
It can generate good traffic to your site.
I have quite a lot of articles(with selected keywords) on the first page of Google and constantly sending traffic to my site. Try it out.
