I'm new to this site. Just looking to exchange information with other bloggers, and maybe network with bloggers in my niche. I'm a 34 year old female from PA, USA who is a major "Geek". I love all things "Geeky" such as Video Games, Anime, Kdrama, Cosplay, Board Games, Collectible Card Games, Mobile Games, Scifi and Fantasy books and movies, Comics, Manga, and related toys, collectibles, plushies, figures, decor items, etc. - Especially if said collectibles are kawaii (cute). I have been playing games since the early 90s. I am one generation behind on the new consoles these days - still have my PS3 / wii / 360 (and even older consoles lol). I also play PC and mobile games. I hope to add a PS4 and Wii U to my collection by end of the year, mainly for Persona 5 and SMT X FE #. I have no console bias, in my opinion if a console has good exclusive titles that I can't get on the PC or competing consoles, then it's worth the money for me . Most of the stuff I review or post news articles for is either: Retro, Indie, or Japanese - Not that I never post current gen or next gen stuff too - but even then, it's typically related to JRPG, (Western) RPG, Simulation, Strategy, Dressup, Monster Taming, Card Collecting, or Visual Novel Games. Because that's where my expertise, passion, and experience lies, I have tried to carve out my niche by appealing to other like minded young adult female geeks, gamers, weebs, and otakus. I'm not allowed to post a link yet on digital point forums, but I hope in the near future I can get a lot of feedback about how I can increase engagement on my blog. My blog is about 2 years old now, however, it sat dormant for about a year. Recently, in the past 4 months I've become very passionate about blogging and taken it on a large part of my hobbies. I strive to blog 3 or 4 times a week. My readership is only around 1200-1500 a month right now, and my page views around 1800-2000 a month. I don't do "vlogs" (video blogging) yet but I definitely want to break into the Twitch and Youtube scene. I am in the process of moving currently, and my "gaming computer" died a few weeks ago too, so "Vlogs" (let's plays and live streams) are on hold until I move and get a new system . I expect vlogging to bring in a lot of readers. Aside from vlogging (and general social media outlets such as twitter, tumblr, facebook, etc) - what other strategies do you recommend for someone in my niche to help build their readership? Would anyone in my niche be interested in working together either to create let's plays or maybe allowing me to guest post on a related blog?
