Folks, Has anyone that is thought about/used/sought out a mentor for internet marketing? I have had one experience with a mentor for real estate and while I won't say it was perfect, I did learn a lot and I believe got a lot done a lot quicker than I would have on my own. The issue with internet marketing I see is just the sheer volume of 'gurus' offering mentoring programs etc. It is difficult to see who/what program/mentoring could be of value. The IM field is so large and I need to be up and running and successful (read making enough $ to quit my job) in 12 months, so I am thinking how I could do that most efficiently and quickly. Thanks, Brett PS - The real estate side is still going - looking into internet marketing to compliment it - ie add cash flow whilst I add assets with real estate.
Hi Brett, Your taking a great approach - get the income stream set up before you need it. Regarding Mentors - if you find the right one you are going to get a huge amount out of it. The trick is finding someone who is really successful and has the time/inclination to personally mentor you. I did freelance work for quite some time and this worked out well because not only did it mean I was earning money - but it also allowed me to be doing work for people out there in the trenches who are being successful online. I got to see what they were doing, and what work I needed to learn. Most importantly I got a string of potential JV partners for later on. You sound like you want to move a little faster than that, which is fear enough. I'm fairly new over here on DP - but I know that on warrior forum someone like yourself offering to do virtual personal assistant work tends to get some attention from some successful marketers. Even if you do it unpaid, what you will learn can be very beneficial. Hope this helps, Rob
