Does anyone know of a way or a site I can go to so that I can find a domain that was registered many years ago? Im looking for one that is older so that it is out of the google sandbox.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Look around in the Marketplace on these forums for people selling old domains. You can also try SEDO, a website where they sell domains.

Lame idea... And I will tell you why.

On the assumption that you can buy an old domain you will need to change the ownership. This will wipe the reords out and your old domain becomes new again...

Secondly there will be links pointed to that site... are they the same keywords you plan on using? If not you might have a ranking issue.

Third, you will be placing a new site up when you buy the site so you won't get any PR for your pages.

The best situation I have ever come across was when I bought a site and the guy switched his ownership over in Godaddy. It was the sweetest offer I ever made. If you can contact the person selling the domain and it's the only one they have I would buy it in a second. At least then you are beating the sandbox at its own game.

The plan was to purchase the existing domain off of someone, launch a site etc and do as you are suggesting. I just need to know where to look for an existing domain.

www.archive.org let you go back in a domain name history, if exists.

Another source for quick present and past facts is www.whois.sc

Thanks! Does anyone know of any other places to buy domains that have history. Or does anyone have any input in buying one that will successfully get us out of the sandbox?

I don't help spammers. This guy as "mrdjkcool" / daryl kennedy of techwyse has already been exposed as a fraud seo company in the highrankings.com forum.

simply do a search for techwyse in jill's forum...

For an seo company to ask where to buy aged domains proves a point of the level of ethics / service techwyse must provide.

The time you've spent searching for an old domain may cost you more than have a new one getting out of sandbox.
