Firstly, I'll explain a little the topic of the site. Interest in the topic would be a bonus but if you dont know anything about it I would suggest you take a look at UFC.com and MMAJunkie.com.

MMA/UFC is the sport of mixed martial arts â€“ two competitors fighting in a caged arena. They fight for 3 five minute rounds (5 rounds if its a title fight). The fight can be ended by a knockout, a submission, or if it goes the full 3 rounds a judges decision.

I want to create a site that runs competitions. On an average event there would be 10 fights. I want people to be able to register an account and predict the outcome of all the fights. Here is a screenshot from a similar site:

I want the fights listed with dropdown menus. People need to be able to select who they think will win the fight, what round the fight will end in, and how the fight will end (submission/judges/KO). They should also be able to move the fights up and down in order. They will earn points for choosing the correct winner, the correct round it ends in, and how the fight will end.

They will also earn additional points for the order they put the fights in â€“ if they predict the right winner in the fight they listed first, they get 10 points, the 2nd one listed 9 points, down to the 10th one and one point.

People should be able to log back in and edit their choices up till the event starts.

Admin Area:

In the backend, I need to be able to login and add upcoming events. This would include uploading photos, putting in the names of the fighters, and the date and location etc.

I need to be able to â€œlockâ€ events also â€“ prevent any new people submitting entries, and prevent people who have already entered from making changes to their entries. I also need to be able to manually edit peoples entries, or delete individual ones.

I also need to be able to put in the results in admin area, which once done would automatically calculate every entrants scores for that event. I need to be able to sort these results by their scores, and be able to see everyones complete entries.

For reference here's a site that runs something similar: mmmplayground.com

People should be able to able to browse through members, looking at their picks and scores for previous events. Their picks for events not yet ran should not be visible to anyone but the person who made them.

I need a site thats both coded properly, and looks professional. A perfect looking site full of bugs is no use to me, as is a perfectly coded site that looks a mess.
