I'm looking for the best place on the net to buy a domain and hosting

    I'm looking for the best place on the net to buy a domain and hosting in one complete package

    I've looked at 123 reg but they can't host php websites at the moment, I'm looking to spend no more than £75 a year on hosting just one website maybe 3 sites tops.

    All advice welcome.

    I have found over the years that it just uncomplicates things when you register your domain name at a domain registrar, and purchase a hosting account seperately. The reason is because transferring the domain name is different from host to host and some smaller hosting companies make it very difficut to transfer your domain elsewhere.

    I would suggest registering your domain name somewhere like GoDaddy or register.com and purchas a cheap hosting account from someone like Hostgator, Lunarpages, PowWeb, etc.

    The domain name will only cost you about $8 per year for a .com and hosting only $4-8/mo.

    I do suggest you find hosting at webhosting section at DP.
    There are many company offer free domain if you purchase 1 years hosting from them such as 102host

    You can definitely find a proper host for 3 sites for less than £75 a year. I noticed you said £'s. Are you looking for hosting located in a specific geographical area?

    Stay away from hostinggonewild I had one of my sites there and it has been down for 2 weeks. i thing they ceased operations or had their assets frozen.
    Becareful going witha cheap no name host. I still do not have my domain yet, I had to go through a whole process with company that was the initial reseller. I am now with godaddy and waiting for my domain. i feel more comfotable paying a little extra knowing they will be around next year.

    that my 2 cents
