I'm Looking For Opinions. Which Is Best. .com .biz or .us

I'm thinking about leasing a domain name from GoDaddy. I consider myself to be pretty lucky. Right now I've got three choices for the domain I want.

    MyProductKits.com
    MyProductKits.biz
    MyProductKits.us

There's also .ws, .name, .org, and .net available as well, but I've decided that these wouldn't be appropriate.

I want to run a business through the web site selling kits that people can install themselves. I live in the US, so I'm pretty sure my primary customer will be in the US.

By the way, I'm using MyProduct as an example only.

I can see advantages in each, but I'm pretty new to the idea of SEO.

Which do you think would be better .com .biz or .us?
Do search engines prefer one over the other in certain circumstances?

    Thanks for any ideas.

    SL

I would choose .com. Sounds a lot better than the other ones.

Go for .com. People tend to remember .com more easier than other extensions.

Search engine is looking for keyword in your domain name and not in the extension.

.com is always the better choice if it is available.

OK, seems like we have an answer. It's unanimous. .com is the clear winner.

Thanks to everyone, I appreciate the assistance.

While you're at it, consider registering the .net domain and have it re-direct to the .com.

OK, I think I'm with you. Different searches on different search engines might turn up differently for all of the possible combinations .xxx.

Register them all and redirect them to the .com.

    MyProductKits.com
    MyProductKits.biz
    MyProductKits.us
    MyProductKits.net

That opens up a lot more options. If search engines like keywords in the URL then I can also think about registering other domains and having them redirect to the MyProductKits.com

    TheBestMyProductKits.com
    FancyMyProductKits.com
    GreatMyProductKits.com
    MyCOMPETETORSProduct.com

Lemme see if I got this straight.
All of the URLs would be seen by the search engine in a different way.
Since most of the URL are simply redirects then they should all be getting the same SEO points for the content on the page.

Having more domains pointing to your site increases the chances that a particular search engine will place your site higher.

Am I correct in my thinking?
