When you yourself say you have horrible credit (Which is what most loans* look at), it is hard for many people to trust you unless you show them a plan, so that they know you aren't laughing all the way to the bank. I'm not saying you are, but you can see how people could be afraid of it. *Most loans ARE investments. Investing in the fact you will pay them back.
