I have initiated a link campaign.. I have done link baiting I am on top of the search engines for specific keyword phrases but still not enough traffic coming into site.. I'm getting about 5-10 hits a day on directoryrevolution.com Can anyone shed some lite please!!!!
Study up a little on SEO or pay someone to do it. Perhaps purchase links on very, very good sites related?
I dont want to pay... I'm trying to see if I can get good page rank free by donig recip's and 3 way linking and article submission. my link campaign is just taking forever and im not getting traffic and a good ROI
LOL you are soo funny... honstly I chuckeld.. but I have followed my own advise. I wrote that article.. google gave my site a PR 1... wht the crapper??
you can't get very far if you don't want to spend a single cent. really. unless you are an expert in every imaginable field.
My goal is the following stick to free directories with PR reciprical linking 3 way linking article submission thing is.. its taking forever for me to do it by myself!!!! any suggestions?? even if I do pay.. lets say I did.. what is the best way to go.. I want major traffic and good results for returning users.. I have made mysite with linkbait but check it and tell me what u think directoryrevolution.com
that is why people outsource. they don't have the time. like for myself, currently i have time, so i can do all of those by myself. but when it comes to things like designing a site layout, i may be better off hiring someone or buying a nice template for $20. look at the layout i did by myself. it's laughable. i'm only a month into web publishing.
I would suggest a word-of-mouth campaign too. You can build some traffic by passing out business cards with your site's address. A few weeks ago I went to the post office and some business had left their business cards on the outside of every Post Office Box. Then there is always AdWords.
I have made fake profiles on myspace... That seems to be pretty good!! The tella friend script is a good idea.. Thanx.. does anyone have access toa huge newsletter and mind advertising me in it??? I can give them free one way links for it or make me an offer!!!!!
So many different ways to do this Vital ebooks, Tell a friend scripts forums myspace this forum articles. Lits goes on and on. From forums alone I get around 300 or 400 visits a day. Brad
Im a similiar position, just steadily trying to build traffic. Ive come up with a list of around 10 or so things im going to do to build traffic and I think looking at it...damn thats a lot of work , but Im prepared to outsource what I think would be too time consuming or inefficient for me to do..things i have no experience in doing. Since my site is a free games site..Im also going to run an add campaign offering a free copy of an X Box 360 game for registration. When i think about it..its not a huge expense, and its worth a shot. Im sure it will get traffic...the question is will it get return traffic and loyal users. I think when creating a new site..especially a site that doesnt have a premium search term for the domain, then you need to be prepared to put a lot of work into it...Sooner or later, youll get out what you put in...There might not be any payoff now..but think 6 months from now.
write articles and submit them to big sites... simply add your url to the bottom of the article and your away.
This is from my experience. One cannot target a high searched keyword with just free work unless you have something really unique which is difficult to replicate. If you do have something like this then links will come automatically BUT will take time . Think of it this way , other sites in your category are advertising lavishly while you want traffic from search ranks which are also governed by the "Links" these other sites purchased as advertisements . Someone paid $1000 to get 20 PR 8 links .Where does your site stand before this one with links from 0 PR pages coming from articles you published or may be reciprocal which again are not of very much value in google's view ? Then there's an army of such sites and worse they got employees to manage link campaign... Plus if search engines make a little change to their algo and you are hit because of something then you cannot recover anytime soon while these other sites have very low effect because they are still getting sales from direct "advertising".They will recover before the next update and continue to govern search results. I don't say that you should buy links to boost search rankings but This is something google will not be able to stop or "detect" to fullest. It's a glitch in their system and they cannot do much about it. ( I personally know how this feels.) If you want to get and build a steady stream of traffic and want to do this by whatever you are doing right now then the best is to enter a nitch . The keyword is searched a few hundred times only and not a few hundred thousand times. There would be fewer sites to compete with and easier to conquer. But keep in mind that even this will take time to get ranks for. Submit to every directory you come across and publish at least 1 article each month if possible each week. This should help you get started. regards jeet
I don't want to be presumptious but your site doesn't convey -- expert. If you are an expert/professional in your field then your site should reflect this confidence to your prospective customer. The first thing that comes to mind when I visit your site is what is it. Why should I put my confidence in this information? Is the content credible? Are the people credible? If so what makes them credible? Answering these questions immediately will set you apart from the rest. If you establish these things then people will naturally start referring/linking from their sites to yours. If the site's content doesn't stand out or isn't unique then you might have an uphill battle. So in the end its about distinguishing yourself/site/content above the rest. Do this in addition to your getting the inbound linking and you are building a strong foundation for a useful site. Note, this is just my observation/opinion .
