I'm looking for a photo hosting script
I want people to be able to register and create galleries for holiday photos in a database

example:
Country: Ibiza
Resort: Sam Miguel
Hotel: Hotel San Miguel
Dates: 15th August 2012 - 19th August 2012

Then I want them to be able to tag the people in the photos

I want them to have the access to tag other peoples photos as well

I need a control panel to stop spam and stuff .. plus I need to be able to edit the site myself to add advertising etc

if theres a script like this I want it or if it has to be custom made then I need a price

i have hosting and domain and basic knowledge... just need a script which will do what i want

the main thing i want is for people to be able to seach destinations and dates

actually you have a many choices, most photo gallery CMSes have the features you need, take your time to discover them:

Gallery
Piwigo
TinyWebGallery
Zenphoto

and many others , I personally like zenphoto. ofcourse you will need to tweak them a little bit so I recommend the ones with more extensions.

just gone through thos 5 thanks but none really do what i want, although piwigo comes close

i want people who create accounts to be able to tag themselves on photos, just like facebook photos, but i also want people who upload photos to be able to time and place stamp them so they can say when and where the photo was taken

 

you can use Wordpress, I think it can suit your need here:

-first you need Nextgen plugin, (to turn Wordpress into a powerful photo gallery )
-then use another plugin which let you tag people in pictures or add annotations to pictures:

i thought about wordpress but someone told me to avoid it as if you leave it for more than a couple of days there'll be so much spam on it you'd never catch up with removing it all
