Hi guys, I'm looking for an affiliate program that would be good for traffic searching for music content. My main program offers them a chance to buy/download the music, so I'm looking for something that would supplement that and not compete. Thanks in advance!
Amazon's MP3 Downloads have come leaps and bounds. They are now number 2 to iTunes and the have good promotional tools and widgets. Personally, If you already have a music download affiliate, why not sell something with higher profit margin like MP3 Players ?
you could try itunes or maybe amazon. amazon has just about everything you need. not to mention ebay.
I like the idea of moving to selling mp3 players through aff program. If you have a ref link, PM it to me! Thanks!
Appreciate the thought, that is very cool of you, but you can just sign up with Amazon associates, or Ebay. Apple also has an affiliate program (I think it's through CJ or linkshare) I use both but I have an Ebay site selling new and used ipods that does O.K. With amazon, you can create an astore (for free) of ipods and accessories and embed it into a blog page...I have a few like that, or use Ebay's product widgets and place them on your blog. There are many ways to integrate either one. If you use Amazon's astore, I have a little tutorial on how to embed it into your blog page here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1187423. That will give you this look: Game Store (obviously with Ipods). If you use Ebay auctions, you can use a tool called TWP Auctions for Ebay (Free). You can use it to embed your ebay products into your site, on the side bar, or list products after a post like in this site. Another good one that you can set up is a BANS store, which you can set up on a new domain, subdomain, or sub folder as an addition to your site. It's not free, but it's well worth it to me. I use that for my onw Ipod store here.. Personally I prefer going the extra mile, over just placing product widgets in the sidebar, especially for such a well known product that can be found just about anywhere on the web. Hopefully that should be enough to get you started. Hope it helps.
Wow, a lot of good stuff there! Time to roll up my sleeves and do a little more homework. I'm leaning towards the amazon astore. I'll have to look at what their requirements are for signup. Thanks all!
Amazon associates for sure! Pretty easy to setup. I think iTunes uses Linkshare.com as their affiliate company
I forgot to add, the most important thing about setting up Ebay ads or links if you use a plug in, or even setting up your own store is having the right product codes. Without them, it's very difficult. You can get pretty spot on if you have the right codes. Here is a link Ebay Product Category codes Amazon's are called Browser Nodes. They are imperative if you tackling a niche or subniche store. There was another list here that was a lot more detailed, but I can't seem to access it. I'll leave the link anyway, just in case it comes back up or is down temporarily. browser nodes
