I'm having trouble getting started, also a few questions

Hey guys, I've been spending the last few months reading these forums and others learning everything I can about making money online. Reading about it and learning has become a hobby of mine and I've quickly sucked away TONS of my time doing this, with no regrets.

I've learned a good deal and ran quite alot of ideas around my head. What I would eventually like to do is have multiple quality sites running each one creating a decent income, and using most of that money to keep building even more. I'm sure this is the general idea behind what most people would like to try to do in the long run.

I'm not exactly sure or how I will make my money, affiliate marketing seems to be the best way to go to just get started, but I have thought about also producing ebooks. Directories are very profitable, but I don't understand how they work and how people make money off of them.

Regarding getting started in affiliate marketing, I've heard the advice "make a website around your interest." I then go to popular affiliate marketing sites such as world niche, more niche and copeac and look through their product selection. I see pretty much about 10 products, that I have little interest in. I could definatly build a website around them, but I don't see the point. If everyone using that website service is promoting that product, it doesn't even seem logical that I could make an income if I jumped on that bandwagon.

Now my biggest enemy has just been getting started. This might be just a simple answer, but I honestly have NO CLUE where to even begin. I have DreamWeaver all set and ready to go to try and form a website, but I'm not sure if that is the program I should use for this kind of activity. If anybody has any advice on just what to do to get started, it would help greatly.

dreamweaver is great. Just get a domain name, some web hosting, and then set up your ftp profile in dreamweaver.

then start uploading some pages and trying it out.

    it's not so hard.

you also might want to start with extensive keyword research at sites like wordtracker.com and https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
to see if your ideas are searched for by web surfers.

    good luck
