go here: http://cli.gs Open a free account and create your link.
You can then TRACK how many CLICKS your link is getting.

    These do:
    www.dwarfurl.com

You can also get the same tracking functionality without registering. You can set a password for your link and even check history based on your IP.

Why don't you guys use php re-directs?

Not really sure how you can trust these websites, when they can automatically change your hoplinks with their and steal you sales from under your nose..

I never used them .. it's always better to go for a html or .php redirect. I understand many of you are just starting out but I suppose I've lost thousands until I secured my business from all points of view, including cloaking links.

bit.ly should work fine. They track your clicks so you can see how many people are clicking your links.

    I half-agree with you here.

For one, using a PHP re-direct would mean you'd have to host the domain, and it wouldn't necessarily be short. Would domain still be visible in the links?

But I too don't trust these 'shortner' sites. Not just for the business end (good enough though) because I'd never know when they might disappear.

You don't have to host the domain, all you need is a domain name to upload the php files. You can then use your re-directed links even on blogspots or squidoos.
