I'm having trouble blocking my IP from stats

I've tried blocking my IP through analytics so my views on my blog dont count towards the visitors on my stats page but it doesn't seem to be working.

Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

    Thanks in advance

yes, you can exclude tracking your ip in web analytics tool. just follow below steps for google analytics.

    1. Click Filter Manager from the Analytics Settings page
    2. Enter a Filter Name for this filter & Select predefine filter as Filter Type
    3. Chose Exclude & Select Visitor IP Address as Filter Field.

in this way you can exclude your ip adress.

let me know if you need any help on these.

yes, if you are having trouble with the blocking cookie, then try to add your sub-net like 99.25.*.* , if your IP is dynamic. else if your IP is static then try to add your full ip like 99.25.5.6 :)

If you're using WordPress, Google Analyticator does this for you automatically. (blocks the admin from counting) for your analytics.

hope this helps.. search WP plugins for "Google Analyticator" its a very easy to use plugin and works great for my arcade. :)

be sure, when u create a filter for blocking your ip or another ip address setting is exclue and if you have facing problem with blocking your ip address try to provde first two number of ip address like 11.22.*.*. Because many time i seen that my ip last address change everyday.
