So I've heard good things about WDservers, and decided to get a vps with them. What a HUGE mistake.

I paid on October 29 and still do not have the hosting set up. I emailed the guy on Oct 31 asking when it will be set up and he said "Sometime today." Two days later, on Nov 2, it was still not set up and I haven't heard from them, so I sent another email. This is the response I received: "Sorry, we have been really busy. It should definitely be setup today." Another 2 days later I sent another email on Nov 4 and have not received a reply since then! I opened up a dispute through paypal but do not expect that to go far.

Additionally, I left a message on the guy's AIM (thewird) to please set up my hosting, but guess what? no response.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to at least get my money back at this point? I'm out $40 right now..

    Thanks to all in advance.

See if they have moneyback guarantee. If they do, do a printscreen of that page, and save it on your computer. Cancel their service and request a refund. If they refused, open another complain with Paypal and email paypal the moneyback guarantee page. You will definitely get your moneyback if they have moneyback guarantee.
If they don't have moneybacl guarantee, then it will be hard to fight it. Unless you cancel and request a partial refund. When signing up with hosting provider, make sure you look for one with moneyback guarantee or one that offers you your first month free. You can always cancel and not loose a dime of your money if you are displease with the host.
Hope it work out for you.
