My Space did that..?? So bad.. Hmm.. I think you have a case.. But I would say it would cost you a lot.. You have to litigate the case in the US since Kuwait courts have no jurisdiction over those residing abroad (I think).. Well, I am speaking according to our own laws as I believe all countries adhere to the principle of international comity.. I wouldn't advice you to pursue the case because you would be spending more than what you have lost.. It would be good if you will win the case.. But what if you won't.. Think of these circumstances before you come up with your decision.. Nonetheless, you can get the opinions of lawyers in your hometown to be sure.. I'm just stating my opinion.. :)

Seems pretty crappy of them but you'd only be able to take them to small claims cort and even then you might end up with court fees for more than you paid them for. My advice, bash the hell out of them on ev ery forum you can and then let it go, maybe email somone on their side and if it's an oversight then maybe they'll fix it.

That sucks and must be real annoying, I suggest you just get over it and move on. Go give your money to sites that will be happy to accept your money and forget myspace.

    Best of luck my friend!

Look, if you consult lawyer, may be there will be win-win situation, as you can clearly state that there is no where written that program is for us only.

So, Claim, that they debited your $25. dont look for money. $25 may be your hard income but somewhat, just dont look for it, look for the permanent solution. just warn myspace, that legal notice will be sent to them :).

Let us know, what response will be sent by them.

Legal notices cost fee's, Fee's turn into dates, Dates turn into courts rounds, that in turn = Alot of expenditure over pretty much nothing, however like i said before 30 days and see what happens.

I don;t think u have much of a case, beside the fee is so small you probably will waste more expesnes and time than it is worth. I suggest u go around and make this known to more people and take it as something learnt. It sucks i know but it happened alredy.

The fee or the money spent with myspace isnt all the problem i think, the core issue for the person in question is the underhanded policy that Myspace used in order to get the money out of the poor chap.

They should have stopped you when you entered in "Kuwait" Also, its nowhere on the TOS page mentioned that user must from US.

Wait for 30 days as they said. If they do not do anything, then seek legal help!!

You may be able to sue them for time, etc. But, in fact, you would be spending nearly a hundred thousand dollars for a suit against them, if not more. They have money to hold you up in litigation for YEARS. Good luck with that. They didn't even take your money, its on hold for 30 days and will be returned for you. Quit whining, suck it up, and drive on.

You bolded this phrase as if proving a point: "all stated charges are in United States dollars"
So are you trying to imply that just because he is not in America he can't have a dollar account? Exactly how ignorant are you? That seems like a pretty dumb post to me...

It's really embarrassing on your part to directly assume things and make really arrogant posts like such especially if you don't even know half of what you're talking about, and on your behalf, I am very embarrassed.

Everyone who does his business on the internet from outside the US has a dollar account one way or another, so the phrase which you chose to emphasize does NOT make a point and is absolutely useless to this thread.

Thanks for your inputs guys, i should have made it clear from the very 1st post that i'm mad that they fooled me and kept everything wide open in front of me and did not stop me and in the end after all this they blocked the account because i'm not in the US

    my point is:

THEY SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT THEY ALLOW ONLY US CITIZENS!
THEY SHOULD HAVE PREVENT ANY REGISTERATION COMING OUT OF THE US!
THEY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED ME FROM REACHING THE BILLING PAGE
THEY SHOWED ME AN ERROR MESSAGE WITH MY CREDIT CARD, EVEN THOU, THEY HOLD THE $25

i'm so sorry for using big fonts, i thought this would bring the attention of people subscribed to this thread.

Thank you again guys for your inputs, i'm still waiting for my lawyer friend to tell me if i can at least send them a warning or whatever!

Thanks guys and sorry for being late on replying

    good day !

^ I agree. Why take $25 from your account even though your country clearly showed that you were not from the US.

Yeah, I can see where you would be angry about that. But it's myspace here. Not only are they the biggest social networking site, they have more than enough money to roast you alive in court. It's not worth it. I know you're frustrated, but taking them to court is pointless. The only real damage you could probably do is dissuade people from using it. I know it sounds minor, but as long as they give you your money back, the court isn't going to give you a case for irritation.

You don't actually have to wait for your lawyer friend to send them a warning.
You can send the letter yourself, but...they might toss it in the trash bin.

It'll indeed be nice and courteous if their site doesn't, say, list Kuwait or some
countries they can't accept registrations for. But that decision lies solely with
MySpace, despite how others feel about it.

If anything, just send them a "polite" letter suggesting how to improve by not
accepting registrations from certain countries to prevent this sort of thing. It
might not be worked on immediately, but just let them know.

I wonder how anyone can stand that site anyways, people using that site have no idea of what optimizatising the loading time of their pages means. Its pretty bad when you load a profile and the music starts playing before your browser even downloaded the css yet. Then while thats happening its loading a million jpgs and animated gifs. very poorly optimized all across the site. Its a choir to load anyone's profile on that site. Its unlikly anyone would see your ad anyways on that site becuase of this. Most people would be too distracted with loading stuff on the profile.

I don't think that was even related to the topic, anyway the fact of the matter is like I've told you earlier my friend, just wait it out and you'll be fine :) I'm quite sure that Myspace wouldn't want to get it's reputation tarnished due to 25$ :)
